Albert Kivikas

(born January 18, 1898 in Suure-Jaani, di ed. May 19, 1978 in Lund, Sweden) - Estonian writer. His most fam ous book is Nimed marmortahvlil tells us about Estonian-Soviet War. In his youth, published under the names A. Pedajas and Karus Mart. After the war, which volunteered to take part as one of the few Estonian writers experimented with futurism. His most important works are the novels and short stories devoted to war and social problems the country. In 1941-1944 he was President of the Writers Union of Estonian.
